The Arboretum, an outdoor shopping center at 10000 Research Blvd. in Northwest Austin, will host art events and activities into August as a part of its summer fun for all ages. Ao5 Gallery and ArtUs Co., two art galleries in the shopping center will be the center stage for these events.

July 22, 6-8 p.m.

Brandon Snow Spotlight


Experience photographs of still life and ready-made sculptures put together by printmaker and photographer Brandon Snow, a self-taught Austin-based artist. The exhibit will be at the contemporary Ao5 Gallery, located near Pottery Barn, in Suite 118. Snow's work continuously explores contrasting themes including one’s mortality, the relationship of life and death, and the good with the bad. 'Heat Waves'


Attend the opening night of “Heat Waves,” an art gallery and activation curated by Natassia Wilde and Loria Mendoza celebrating summer. The event, hosted by ArtUs Co, next to Amy’s Ice Creams and Hanara Sushi, at Suite 14, will feature the work of 30-plus local artists and include performances of local poets and musicians from Red Light Lit. 'Perpetual Passion: The Art of Jorge Najera'


Visit ArtUs Co gallery to explore artworks by Jorge Najera, an Austin and San Antonio-based artist who has been featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Monterrey. The evening will feature live music by Mind's Eye Muse, small bites and complimentary cocktails, and it is sponsored by Austin Young Professionals, Austin EastCiders and Desert Door Sotol.
