Children will be able to bring injured or sick teddy bears in need of a little extra love and care to the Austin Humane Society Shelter from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. this Saturday, June 11, for its Teddy Bear Surgery event, according to a release from the Austin Humane Society.
The event will help diagnose and treat stuffed animals, giving children a glimpse into the world of animal care, according to the release.
The shelter is at 124 W. Anderson Lane, and registration is required to participate in the event as space is limited.
This event is a part of the Austin Humane Society’s 10th Annual Summer Kids Series, according to the release. A second Teddy Bear Surgery event will be on July 23. Learn more about the Summer Kids Series here.
