The details
The restaurant, currently located inside Hana World Market at 1700 W Parmer Lane, Ste. 100, announced July 23 that it is relocating "sometime [in] 2025" to its first brick and mortar location off Kramer Lane.
The restaurant is known for its Japanese ramen bowls with Mexican ingredients such as carnitas, queso cotija and tomatillo salsa. Also on the menu is traditional Mexican cuisine such as tacos, tostadas and aguachiles with a Japanese twist.
Something to note
Ramen del Barrio's new location will take over the current Bullseye Bakery space, which will close in August.
The bakery was subletting from Gimmicks Bar which is closing this month, and was initially set to take over the full lease from the bar.
"We had to pivot at such an intense rate, during a short time and that was unrealistic," a bakery business representative said in a social media post. "Alas, for a small, growing business like ours, as a family we made the decision to not take over."
The bakery is working toward securing a commercial kitchen space to rent and continue baking; finding a food truck and place to park it; and researching new brick and mortar spaces, according to the post.
