Concordia University Texas, located 11400 Concordia University Drive in Northwest Austin, is constructing its Regents Hall, its third on campus residence hall.

The $19.2 million facility—which the university and donors are funding—will be able to accommodate 234 students, expanding the university’s residential capacity by 86%, said Dan Gregory, Concordia University Texas vice president of administration, in an email.

The project broke ground in February 2021 and will open for the 2022-23 academic year, Gregory said.

Gregory said the addition of Regents Hall will put more students in a position to succeed by connecting them to academic support, a university spokesperson said. Each floor of the residence hall will feature study lounges and collaborative learning spaces, and the building will include a community kitchen and an outdoor amphitheater.

“By expanding residential capacity, Concordia will facilitate the growth of a thriving and vibrant campus community,” Gregory said in an email. “Regents Hall is also expected to improve enrollment, increase retention and enhance student success rates.”
