Residents can provide input on the Redline Trail project at an upcoming meeting that will be hosted by The Austin Urban Trails Program at Whole Foods Market-Domain on Dec. 13.
The $4.3 million project, funded by the 2016 mobility bond, aims to connect the Braker Lane and the Capital Metro Kramer Red Line Station to the Northern Walnut Creek Trail system. City staff will incorporate community input to develop a preliminary engineering report that evaluates environmental constraints, such as drainage, wildlife habitat and property ownership.
City of Austin staff members plan to finalize the plan by spring 2018, open the project for construction bids in fall 2019 and begin construction by winter 2020, according to project organizers.
Meeting details: 6-7 p.m. 11920 Domain Drive, Austin.
