“This is a big deal for the more than 350,000 residents in my precinct, many who found themselves having to travel 20 to 30 miles to reach a tax office location,” Precinct 3 County Commissioner Ann Howard said.
The location is going through a soft opening, Tiffany Seward from the Travis County Tax Office said. The grand opening is scheduled for Oct. 6.
In September 2021, the Travis County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of the RM 620 location, which was previously a bank building. The county spent about $400,000 on building renovations.
The branch hours are Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for walk-ins, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. for drive-thru and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for appointments. www.TravisCountyTax.org
