A recently completed survey on whether residents are prepared for natural disasters could help reduce future risks in Williamson County.
The county will use the information from the survey, which ended July 13, to update its hazard mitigation plan. The Texas Colorado River Floodplain Coalition prepared the original plan and included Williamson County and 16 other counties.
The updated plan will only focus on hazards identified within the local county. The information provided could help reduce the risk of injury or property damage in the future.
