Ballard Designs, a home furnishings and decor store, is now open at the Arboretum in the previous Gap store location. The more than 11,000-square-foot store, which opened Jan. 21, carries classic designs with a European influence and also offers walk-in design services.

The store carries indoor and outdoor furniture, bedding, towels, lighting, drapery and everything needed for the house, Ballard Designs staff said.

Customers can select the fabric of their choice while ordering furniture and also look at performance fabrics, which can be cleaned to almost brand-new condition, store staff said. The store offers in-store and virtual complimentary design services as well.
