Soul Made Collective Cultural Exchange, a boutique featuring original, high-quality merchandise created exclusively by underrepresented founders, opened the business at The Arboretum in Northwest Austin on Sept. 3. The owner, De J. Lozada, also owner of Soul Pops gourmet popcorn, wanted to create a shared space for other makers as she saw a need, Lozada said.

Men and women who are part of the artist collective create and display their work at the store.

“We are hyperlocal 28 makers in the store with high-quality handmade creations,” said Beverly Jafper, who co-owns and creates Lufray’s Candles and has products in the store.

The store at 10000 Research Blvd., Ste. 123, Austin, carries bath and body products, home decor, jewelry, books, and food and beverage products. 512-373-8335. www.soulmadeatx.com
