This weekend offers a variety of events in and around Northwest Austin, including celebrations of local record stores and Mother Earth herself. Here is a roundup of things to do:

THURSDAY


1. Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival
The sixth annual festival features acts from Ali Wong, Patton Oswalt, Chris Hardwick, Ralphie May, Jay Pharoah and other comedians at several venues throughout Austin, including the Cap City Comedy Club, 8120 Research Blvd., Ste. 100, Austin.

2. St. Genevieve Anniversary Party
Upscale lounge and wine bar St. Genevieve hosts a first-anniversary party with a complimentary dessert bar, access to a champagne fountain with the purchase of a $10 glass and live music from Mark Klentzman. St. Genevieve offers a variety of shared plates, wines and cocktails. It is one of several establishments operated by Union Venture Group in the Rock Rose District at Domain Northside.

FRIDAY


3. Texas Community Music Festival
Central Market on North Lamar Boulevard hosts the 12th annual edition of the festival, which features more than 60 musical acts. This year’s lineup includes Cilantro Boombox and Kupira Marimba. The festival is open to all ages. It is organized by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.

SATURDAY


4. Record Store Day
At least 13 Austin-area record stores will mark the 10th annual Record Store Day, which began in the U.S. but is now observed worldwide, including in countries such as the U.K., Japan and Australia. Participating outlets must be standalone brick-and-motor retailers whose primary business focuses on a physical store location and whose product line consists of at least 50 percent music retail, according to the official Record Store Day website. Participating stores must also not be publicly traded and ownership must be at least 70 percent in the state of operation. View a map of participating Austin-area locations here. During the event, record stores offer special on limited edition and rare records.

5. Earth Day weekend
Central Texas has a variety of ways to celebrate Earth Day, which is observed on Saturday. Events include Earth Day Austin at Huston-Tillotson University and Earth Day Live Festival at the Historic Scoot Inn. Read more here.

6. American Heroes Air Show
The annual event invites the public to Camp Mabry to experience the Texas National Guard. Attractions include helicopter and parachute demonstrations, a World War II re-enactment, first responder demonstrations, visits to memorial walls, military vehicles, bands, a naturalization ceremony for service members, children’s activities and food.

7. Austin Weird Homes Tour 2017
In its fourth year, the tour includes a variety of homes in a self-paced, self-driving tour across Austin. A VIP party is held after the event, and 10 percent of ticket sales benefits Foundation Communities’ affordable housing work in Austin.

SUNDAY


8. Bike Austin safety forum
North Austin neighborhood leaders will join Bike Austin for a community forum to discuss pedestrian and bicyclist safety on Rundberg Lane and Cameron Road. Austin City Council Member Greg Casar, who represents District 4 in North Austin, is expected to attend, according to Bike Austin.
