Year-over-year home sales, median home prices and the average number of days homes spent on the market were all mixed across the North-Northwest Austin market, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

Of the five ZIP codes in the market, two had more sales this October compared to last October, while another two had fewer sales. Sales remained the same in 78727 with 17 homes sold both this October and last October.


Median prices also varied across the ZIP codes. Year-over-year prices in 78759 dipped by nearly 25%—the most in the market—going from $725,000 to $545,000.

Year-over-year prices in 78750 increased the most in the market by 21%, going from $588,000 last October to over $712,000 this October.


Most homes in the market—40—were sold between the $300,000 and $499,999 price range in October. There were also:
  • 13 homes sold for $900,000 or more
  • 8 homes sold between $700,000 and $899,999
  • 22 homes sold between $500,000 and $699,999
  • 5 homes sold for $299,999 or less


Homes in most of the ZIP codes sat on the market longer this October compared to last October. In 78759, homes sat for an average of 50 days, the longest in the market and 10 days longer than last year.

In 78750 and 78729, homes spent fewer days on the market compared to last year, but still sat for over a month.
