Residents and businesses near The Arboretum will have another banking option in 2025 when Frost Bank expands into the area.

Expected to cost around $6 million, the 4,300-square-foot location will offer a range of personal and commercial financial services, such as:What's happening?

Bill Day, senior vice president of corporate communications for Frost Bank, said the new location is part of the institution's plans to double the number of Frost Banks in the Austin area from 17 to 34 in the next two years.

"We already opened the first location on Stassney [Lane] in 2023, and the next location in Bastrop is set to open in April," Day said, adding that the Austin expansions will create more than 170 jobs in the area.


Those 170 additional jobs will bring Frost Bank's Austin-area employee total to more than 500.

Frost Bank was established in San Antonio in 1868 and has since grown to include Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, as well as the Permian Basin and Rio Grande Valley regions.

"It also has the largest ATM network in the state of Texas, which includes over 140 ATMs in the Austin region," Day said.
