Chef Laila Bazahm opened Siti, her second Austin restaurant, in East Austin in July.

On the menu

The Southeast Asian restaurant's cuisine is inspired by culinary traditions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. The menu features house-made curry pastes, fresh seafood, char-grilled meats, fragrant herbs and broth.

The backstory

Bazahm opened Siti to honor the food of her Filipino heritage along with her experience living and working in Singapore. Siti's menu includes Southeast Asian dishes Bazahm grew up eating but wasn't able to find in Austin, a Siti spokesperson said.
