Spread & Co., Austin's first grazing board company turned cheese-centric cafe, closed its Jefferson Square Shopping Center location on May 26 and will be relocating to a new space this summer, according to an Instagram post.

"The address of the new spot will be announced soon, and we're hoping for a fairly quick turnaround on the buildout with an opening of late summer 2024," the post read.

What else?

Spread & Co. will continue working out of a commissary kitchen in the meantime, and the company's Laguna Gloria location will serve as the new pickup spot in the interim.

The cheese-centric cafe serves cheese boards and offers an all-day breakfast menu; However, owner Rosemary Ewald and her husband Austin said they wanted to "pivot" with their new location by having expanded hours and focusing more on "grab and go" with limited dine-in.

Spread & Co. will also expand its retail wine selection as well as their food-centric gifts and houseware, according to the social media post.

Quote of note

"We are forever thankful for our incredible team, the Rosedale neighborhood, all our regulars and all our family and friends. We simply wouldn't be where we are without each of you. We can't wait to welcome you into our new home warmly and often," the post concluded.
