In May the Texas Department of Transportation began a project to resurface the MoPac frontage roads from Parmer Lane to Waters Park Road.

2. US 183 frontage road resurfacing
On May 9, TxDOT began resurfacing the frontage roads of US 183 from Anderson Mill Road to Spicewood Springs Road/McNeil Drive.

3. I-35 repaving
TxDOT will resurface the I-35 main lanes from Wells Branch Parkway to Rundberg Lane. The project will be bid upon in November.

4. 183 North environmental clearance
In early May, the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority received environmental clearance for its 183 North project. The project will add two variably priced toll express lanes in each direction on US 183 between SH 45 N and MoPac. The express lanes would connect to Toll 183A in Cedar Park, and direct connectors would be built to RM 620 and to the express lanes under construction on MoPac. Construction would take two to three years and could be done in phases.

5. I-35 maintenance
TxDOT plans to go out for bids on a maintenance contract to perform pavement repairs on the I-35 main lanes and frontage roads from Riverside Drive to Wells Branch Parkway. Construction is expected to take a couple of months once the contract is sent out for bids.
