This coming weekend Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport plans to close runway 18R/36L from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 7. The closure is taking place because of the Federal Aviation Administration’s work on the Instrument Landing System for Runway 36L.
North winds with gusts to 20 mph are forecast along with a chance of thunderstorms and rain showers for the entire work period. As with all such maintenance closures the flights that would have used the closed runway will be dispersed among the remaining operational runways. If this forecast does not change for the work period the FAA will use Runway 31L for jet departures.
