The menu at Lou Lou’s Beignets keeps things simple and original, featuring coffee and beignets that offer Louisiana natives a taste of home, co-owner Anthony Milton said.
Milton said he has seen a high demand for the simple menu items since the cafe’s July 7 opening. Lou Lou’s offers a full-service coffee bar, which serves a variety of traditional coffee as well as New Orleans-style cafe au laits. Beignets are served in the traditional Louisiana style with powdered sugar, in bite-sized form topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Beignets are also available as dippers, which are topped with sugar and cinnamon and served with a dipping sauce.
“We have no desire to expand the menu,” Milton said. “We have the best coffee and beignets. We’re unique by keeping the menu simple.”
Milton said although there is only one Lou Lou’s Beignets location in The Woodlands, it is possible another location will open up in the area in the future.
“The Woodlands is a great community, and there [are] a lot of Louisiana transplants here,” he said. “We want them to have a hometown feel when they come here.”
