Houston-based fast casual restaurant chain Black Walnut Cafe opened its second Austin location Oct. 1 on Burnet Road.

The restaurant offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, including sandwiches, salads, burgers and pasta dishes as well as craft beer and wine. Local beer options include from Adelbert’s Brewery, 512 Brewing Co., Circle Brewing Co., Real Ale Brewing Co., Live Oak Brewing Co. and Independence Brewing Co.

Customers place their order at the counter and receive a pager to notify them when their food is ready for pickup. The location also has a bar with craft cocktails.

The new location is now open at the Austin Commons shopping center, 11101 Burnet Road, Ste. 150. The restaurant’s parent company, Black Forest Ventures Co., also owns the center. The first Austin location of Black Walnut Cafe is located in Northwest Austin at 10817 RM 2222 near River Place Boulevard.

Black Walnut Cafe is open Mon.-Thu. 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri. 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Sat. 7 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sun. 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Happy hour is 7-10:30 a.m. and 3-6:30 p.
