1. Metric Boulevard repaving

The city of Austin is repaving Metric Boulevard between Parmer and Kramer lanes to fix cracked and poor pavement conditions. Timeline: Aug. 31-late September Cost: $635,000-$695,000 Funding sources: city’s Transportation User Fee

2. Parmer Lane resurfacing

The Texas Department of Transportation will repair and resurface the portion of Parmer Lane from SH 45 N to the Travis County line just south of McNeil Drive. The project goes out for bids in January. Timeline: summer 2016 (construction) Cost: estimated $2.55 million Funding sources: TxDOT

3. US 183 frontage roads

As of Sept. 10, resurfacing the US 183 frontage roads from Anderson Mill Road to McNeil Drive likely will be postponed to the spring. The contractor has had difficulty hiring workers to complete the job this fall before the weather becomes too cold for construction, spokesperson Kelli Reyna said. 4. Water main upgrades

Austin Water Utility is upgrading wastewater lines in the Barrington Oaks neighborhood to improve capacity. The work affects Danwood Drive from Kapok Lane to Barrington Way and Barrington from Danwood to Pilgrims Place. Timeline: August-May Cost: $1.6 million Funding sources: Austin Water Utility

5. MoPac toll lanes

Through November crews will be pouring concrete for the expanded bridges over Waters Park Road and Park Bend Drive. Workers are also installing sidewalks on the northbound frontage road between Steck Avenue and Braker Lane. Timeline: October 2013-2016 Cost: $204 million Funding sources: state and federal funds
