Craig Cassio first got involved in the jewelry business after designing a engagement ring to propose to his wife, Michelle, in 1991. After he was recruited by the jewelry designer who helped create Michelle’s ring, Craig worked for different jewelers until opening the first Cassio Creations in 2001.
In 2008, Cassio and his wife relocated the business from its Rayford Road location to Wood Ridge Plaza.
“Business has always been very good, even in 2008 with the country in a recession, we survived,” Cassio said. “We have loyal clientele and a lot of referrals. We’re not your typical jewelry store.”
Cassio said he and his wife do not just sell premade jewelry, but offer custom-designed jewelry made with the latest technology. The jewelry piece is sketched and developed on a computer and then printed on a 3-D printer, or made into a wax casting for the customer to observe before the ring is made.
“We send renderings to customers so they can see how it looks,” Cassio said. “Then the ring is made after they see what the copy looks like.”
Besides providing custom-made jewelry, Cassio also offers brand- name jewelry and watches such as Seiko, Carlex, Gabriel Bridal and Crown wedding bands.

Pallotta’s Italian Grill owner Phil Nicosia said the restaurant gives customers something that is not offered at most Italian restaurants in The Woodlands area: an integration of flavors.
Each month the grill offers a feature of the month where different foods are combined, such as barbecue and Italian cuisine, Mexican and Italian cuisines—even some Cajun dishes.
“We do have good pasta, sandwiches, pizza and salads, but we also have unique specialties and we’re more known for that,” Nicosia said. “We’ll have crawfish pasta, brisket with some meals—no other Italian restaurant does that.”
With the eatery’s 21st anniversary set to take place Sept. 12, Nicosia said the grill has remained popular among customers due to its quality food.
“We bring customers back with our consistency,” he said. “People support local businesses here, and we’re still continuing to improve with more sales.”
The restaurant also features live music performances on the weekends and a banquet room that seats 65 people and features its own bar, a large LED TV and sound system.
Happy hour is also available from Monday through Friday from 3-7 p.m.
