1. Bergstrom Expressway contract
The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority awarded a $581.5 million design-build contract May 27 to Colorado River Constructors, a team of several design and engineering consultants led by Fluor Corp. and Balfour Beatty Construction. The Bergstrom Expressway project will add three toll lanes and three nontolled lanes in either direction as well as bike lanes and a shared-use path on US 183 between Hwy. 290 and SH 71. Part of the project will open in late 2019.

2. US 183 frontage road resurfacing
The Texas Department of Transportation will resurface the frontage roads of the US 183 from Anderson Mill Road to McNeil Drive. The project will take three months, and the agency will then resurface the frontage roads from Anderson Mill to Lake Creek Parkway.

3. Left-turn lane expansion
TxDOT is expanding the left-turn lane from eastbound RM 2222 to McNeil Drive to two lanes.

4. Loop 360 resurfacing
TxDOT will resurface 12 miles of Loop 360 from US 183 to Walsh Tarlton Lane. The project will take about two months to complete.

5. Burnet Road resurfacing
TxDOT is resurfacing the roadway between MoPac and US 183.

6. Resurfacing frontage roads
TxDOT is finishing two resurfacing projects on the frontage roads on MoPac from US 183 to Braker Lane and on US 183 from MoPac to Loop 360.

7. North Walnut Creek Trail
A 10-foot-wide concrete trail connecting Balcones District Park to Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park is being constructed. The city plans to reopen portions of Walnut Creek park in mid-August that had closed for construction.
