This means all lanes of MoPac will remain open June 14. The agency will reschedule the installation of the final piece of the bridge at a later date. Original post June 12 at 1 p.m. The southbound lanes of MoPac from Parmer to Braker lanes and the Braker exit ramp will close June 14 at 8 p.m. to allow crews to install the final section of the bicycle and pedestrian bridge over the Union Pacific railroad tracks. The 525-foot-long bridge section is located in the median of MoPac near Parmer Lane, and once the section has been moved the left lane and exit will reopen. However, the frontage road turnarounds south of the tracks near The Domain will remain closed until 5 a.m. June 15. In April the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority installed the first two sections and intended to finish installation of the final piece April 23. Weather caused the cancellation of the final installation. The bridge is part of a shared-use path connecting the North Walnut Creek Trail to N. Capital of Texas Hwy. The path is part of the 11-mile MoPac Improvement Project to add one toll lane in each direction between Parmer and Lady Bird Lake. The project is slated to conclude in late 2015.
