The city of Frisco changed up its traditional town hall meeting March 23 to include a state of the city presentation.
City Council members and city staff focused on Frisco's strategic goals and major accomplishments in 2014.
The council presented the city's goals for 2015, which included attracting a Fortune 100 company, conducting a successful bond election and keeping the Star of Frisco development on schedule.
The city also showed a video showing a look back at 2014, highlighting major council decisions and local events.
"Sometimes it's good to take a breath, look back over the successes over the past year," Frisco Mayor Maher Maso said.
Residents asked a variety of questions for the town hall portion of the meeting ranging from the upcoming bond election to new development.
Many questions revolved around mass transportation and if Frisco would join Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
Maso said for the city to join DART, residents would have to vote to allocate 1 cent of the sales tax, which already goes toward the Economic Development Corp. and the Community Development Corp., to pay for a DART service.
The city's next town hall meeting is scheduled for June 15.
