As the filing date for the May elections grows near, a number of individuals have already submitted applications to be on the ballot.
Individuals can file applications until 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at the city secretary's office at city hall.
Early voting will be held from April 27 to May 5. All voters must be registered by April 9 in order to be eligible to cast a vote.
Colleyville
For the May 9 election, positions for city council Place 5 and 6 will be on the ballot.
As of 3 p.m. Feb. 18 Elizabeth Repp Zeitlin has filed to be on the ballot for Place 5 and named Andrea M. Goodrich as her campaign treasurer. Tom Hart currently holds the position.
Nancy Meyer Coplen has also filed for Place 5 and named Rob Norr as her campaign treasurer.
For Place 6, Mayor pro tem Mike Alan Taylor has filed for re-election. He named himself as campaign treasurer. Bobby Wayne Lindamood, Jr. has also filed for the seat. He named Crissie Tatum as campaign treasurer.
Early voting is at Colleyville City Hall, 100 Main St. Election day voting will be held at Bransford Elementary School, 601 Glade Road, Colleyville.

Grapevine
For the May 9 election, positions for mayor and city council Place 1 and 2 are available.
William D. Tate, the current mayor of Grapevine, is the only individual to file for that race. He named himself campaign treasurer.
Carl Shane Wilbanks has filed for re-election to Place 1; no campaign treasurer has been appointed yet. Marc Blum has also filed for the seat. He has named himself as campaign treasurer.
Sharron Spencer has filed for re-election to Place 2. She has named herself as campaign treasurer.
Election day voting will be held at The REC, Grapevine's yet-to-be-completed senior and recreation center. Early voting will take place at Grapevine City Hall.
All voters must be registered by April 9 in order to be eligible to cast a vote.

Southlake
For the May 9 election, positions for mayor, city council Place 2 and 5 are available.
Carolyn Lane Morris, who currently holds Place 2, has filed for mayor. Veronica "Ronnie" Kendall has been appointed campaign treasurer.
Laura Kimberly Hill, who currently holds Place 5 on the council, has also filed for mayor. Joseph B. McSweeny has been named campaign treasurer.
For the city council Place 2 election, Shawn Malcolm McCaskill has filed for the race. She has named Laura M. Vecchio-McCaskill as campaign treasurer. John Robert Huffman had previously filed for the election, but withdrew from the race on Feb. 18.
For the city council Place 5 election, John Robert Huffman and Pamela A Muller filed for the seat naming Elizabeth J. Huffman and Falah Crouch as campaign treasurers.
Because Southlake splits the Denton-Tarrant County line, voters must vote in the county in which they reside. Polling locations will be announced by the city secretary as soon as they are finalized.
In addition, because Place 5 is a special election, candidates can file until March 9.
