Martin Fein Interests has announced plans for a high-end apartment complex within CityPlace, the town center of the Springwoods Village master-planned community in Spring.
Fein announced Dec. 8 the purchase of 3.75 acres from Coventry Development Corporation for a multifamily development at the southeast corner of Springwoods Village Parkway and Lake Plaza Drive, according to a press release.
A six-story luxury apartment community, The Mark at City Place will feature 268 residences with a variety of one, two and three-bedroom designs. The complex is expected to break ground by mid-2015 with a completion date planned for the third quarter of 2017.
The Mark at CityPlace, will house retail and dining on the first floor along Lake Plaza Drive and will be located within walking distance of additional retail, dining and recreational facilities as well as the nearby ExxonMobil and Southwest Energy campuses.
Common areas within the complex include several amenities, such as a demonstration kitchen with a dining and entertainment area, university-style library with free Wi-Fi, club area with billiards and televisions, a state-of-the-art fitness center with a variety of equipment, and a spa and relaxation retreat with private treatment rooms.
The complex also provides an outdoor sundeck with a resort-style pool, a lap pool, and outdoor kitchen with poolside cabanas.
The Mark at CityPlace will be Fein's second multifamily development within Springwoods Village. The Belvedere in Springwoods Village, located at 2323 East Mossy Oaks Road, houses 342 units and has 100 leases in place. The 1,800-acre master-planned community also features single-family developments Audobon Grove and Harper Woods.
CityPlace, a 60-acre urban district within Springwoods Village, could house as many as 13 office buildings with retail and restaurants in the first phase of development.
The first planned office buildings—a five-story, 147,000-square-foot building and a 10-story, 295,000-square-foot building—have received interest from companies within the energy and financial industries.
The first office building could be completed by the fourth quarter of 2015. The public plaza at the heart of CityPlace could be completed in 2015 or 2016.
