While two nurses from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas are now battling the Ebola virus, the city of Frisco is recovering from its Ebola scare the week before.

The patient taken from a Frisco care clinic to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Oct. 8 exhibiting possible Ebola symptoms tested negative for the virus on Oct. 9, according to the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

The resident of The Colony was transferred from the urgent care clinic by Frisco firefighters-paramedics to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

Firefighters-paramedics reported the patient had been inside the apartment of Thomas Duncan, the Dallas "patient zero", before it had been decontaminated. The patient had also been in contact with family members related to Duncan, who died Oct. 8.

City officials at a press conference stressed that the situation was considered a low-risk event.
