The city is partnering with Fort Worth Environmental Management on April 19 to put on the Mobile Crud Cruiser event that allows residents to safely dispose of toxic waste and hazardous materials.
Residents can bring acceptable items to Dragon Stadium, 1085 S. Kimball Ave., from 9–11 a.m. Department of Public Safety staff and volunteers will be available to take and dispose of the items properly. Approved items include: automotive fluids, batteries, cleaners and chemicals, cooking oil, lawn and pool chemicals, light bulbs and paint supplies. Texas Recovery Systems will also be on-site to handle old electronics but televisions are not accepted.
DPS staff will also be available to take documents for shredding.
The entry for all item disposals will be at the south end of the stadium, and the event runs on a first-come, first-served basis until trucks are filled.
Visit the Fort Worth Environmental Management website to see a comprehensive list of what will be accepted. The next disposal event will be October 18.
