Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is slated to open a restaurant at 3201 Bee Caves Road, Austin, on May 29, Marketing Advisor Chantel Romero said.

She said the restaurant tailors each site to its community and the West Lake Hills location may house memorabilia of Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints and former Westlake High School quarterback; artwork featuring the Pennybacker Bridge; and other articles that would resonate with area residents.

The Old Tarlton Center site will be Raising Cane's third location in Central Texas following the quick-serve restaurant's Cedar Park opening in 2012 and an Oct. 31 opening near the University of Texas' west campus.

On March 5, Robert Montgomery, Raising Cane's Director of Property Development, was granted a recommendation for approval by Lakeway's Zoning and Planning Commission for a restaurant on the city's proposed Lakeway Medical Village campus at S. RR 620 and Medical Parkway. He said he is anticipating a fall opening for the Lakeway restaurant.

Romero said Raising Cane's will open a Georgetown restaurant in August with two additional restaurants proposed for 2015 openings in the Austin region: Lakeline area and the Y at Oak Hill.
