Nordstrom, Inc. announced March 5 its plans to open an approximately 123,000-square-foot store at The Domain by fall 2016.
The Seattle-based retail company said the two-story store will anchor Phase 3 construction of The Domain, which is owned and leased by Endeavor Real Estate Group, according to a news release. Phase 3 of The Domain will sit on 304 acres and is slated to include 1.8 million square feet of retail space, 5,000 residential units, 3.5 million square feet of office space and 800 hotel rooms, according to the release.
Nordstrom has 260 stores in 35 states in the U.S. and operates three stores in the Austin area, including Nordstrom Rack at the Gateway shopping center in Northwest Austin and a store at Barton Creek Square Mall in Southwest Austin.
"We are humbled by the support we've received from our customers in Austin since we first entered the market in 2003 at Barton Creek Square," said Erik Nordstrom, president of stores for Nordstrom, Inc., in a news release. "Austin is a dynamic and growing community and we believe this new store at The Domain will allow us to better serve more customers in the area."
