The Frisco City Council on Dec. 3 named 23 members to the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee.
The members will be tasked with updating the city's 2006 Comprehensive Plan.
Mayor Maher Maso said the council wants the public's input on the plan, which is meant to be a vision of what the city will look like when it is built out.
"One of our strengths is that we have a plan, a good plan, that's what this process is based on," Maso said.
Of the 23 members appointed, four served on the 2006 committee and include John Hamilton, Baxter Brinkmann, Stan Brasuell and Robert Ouellette.
Five were recommended by the Frisco Economic Development Corp. (Jaime Ronderos), Frisco ISD (Richard Wilkinson), Frisco Chamber of Commerce (Tony Felker), Parks and Recreation (Michael Gfellar) and Planning and Zoning (Rick Williamson).
The council members then chose 14 residents out of more than 60 applicants. Council members discussed the applications and the application process at a work session before the council meeting, then appointed and approved the 14 in one motion.
Those 14 include: Chad Brubaker, Rick Fletcher, Aaron Fletcher, Stephen Hulsey, Chris Moss, Dave Wilcox, Ed Szczebak, Bruce Quinnell, Steve Cone, Kurt North, Jeffery Stinson, Debby Clark, Lynn Slaney-Silguero and Clint Bledsoe.
