Tiff's Treats cookies are coming to Southwest Austin.
The Austin-based cookie delivery company will celebrate the grand opening of its fifth area store in The Shops At Arbor Trails on Oct. 26 with a cash-only fundraiser for Foster Angels of Central Texas, a nonprofit that helps foster children in Travis and Williamson counties and surrounding areas.
Co-founder Tiffany Chen said the company decided to expand to Southwest Austin because of high demand for its warm cookies in the area. The closest locations are in Westlake and Central Austin, so delivery and pickup in Southwest Austin will be more convenient with the new store, she said.
"We haven't opened an Austin, Texas location since 2009. To us, this is home. So getting to come back home and do a grand opening years later is very special to us," co-founder Leon Chen said, noting several nearby restaurants and businesses have donated prizes that will be randomly inserted into boxes. "We feel like it brings the local business community together for a good cause."
Cookies will be sold for $4 per dozen, and the company plans to donate proceeds up to $5,000 to Foster Angels. Additionally, the first 10 people in line will receive a $100 gift card to Tiff's Treats, the next 10 will get a $50 gift card, the next 10 will get $25 and the next 10 will get a $10 gift card.
The 1,600-square-foot store will be the first of Tiff's 12 existing stores to debut a modern, sleek design featuring glass display cases and a mosaic tile backsplash behind the counter.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the 4301 W. William Cannon, Building E, Ste. 210 location. For the grand opening fundraiser, no advance orders are required, according to the company.
Tiff's Treats was founded in 1999 and will celebrate 15 years in business next year.
