Colorado-based Century Communities acquired Jimmy Jacobs Homes' Georgetown and San Antonio operations and assets Sept. 11.

"We are very excited to add the Jimmy Jacobs Homes' product and operations to our team," said Dale Francescon, Century Communities co-chief executive officer, in a statement. "The company's reputation for exceptionally high quality product and customer service is a complementary addition to the Century Communities brand."

Century Communities builds single-family townhomes and flats in Denver, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, Colo.

Rebecca Whitehurst, Jimmy Jacobs Homes marketing director, said the company will keep the Jimmy Jacobs Homes name, product and brand.

"Jimmy Jacobs Homes will continue to operate business as usual," Whitehurst said. "The acquisition will be a key element to bolster a strategy to create additional value and to maximize a sustainable competitive advantage."

Century Communities plans to expand further into the Central Texas area and is planning to add six new communities, giving the companies more than 900 lots in the Austin and San Antonio areas, according to a news release.
