The pond at Berry Springs Park and Preserve was closed for public use June 12 to allow contractors to repair the dam destroyed in 2010.
Floods resulting from Tropical Storm Hermine destroyed the dam in September 2010, according to a news release from Williamson County. The pond is scheduled to reopen Sept. 9.
"We apologize for any inconvenience this causes for our patrons and thank them in advance for their cooperation," said Randy Bell, Williamson County Parks and Recreation director, in a statement. "After the dam is repaired, we look forward to working on a restocking plan to re-establish fishing at the park."
Berry Springs Park and Reserve is located at 1801 CR 152. For more information, contact the Williamson County Parks and Recreation department at 512-943-1920.
