The newest location of the Salvation Army Family Store opens June 8 in the former Lack's Furniture store at US 183 and Anderson Mill Road.

This is the fourth location of the family stores, which support the Adult Rehabilitation Center programs that help men recover from addictions. The six-month ARC residential program, geared toward men age 21–65, provides work therapy, education, skills training, health and wellness preparation, and goal-setting assistance.

The family stores sell donated clothing, household goods, shoes, furniture and appliances. Grand opening festivities take place 10 a.m.–8 p.m. June 8, and events include entertainment, activities for children, giveaways and free refreshments. The Northwest Austin location is located at 13530 N. US 183, Ste. 100. For more information, call 512-996-9866 or visit www.salvationarmyaustin.org.
