An Oct. 8 fire at the Annunciation Maternity Home, 3610 Shell Road, Georgetown, damaged supplies and displaced 14 clients.
A small blaze at the home's Rita House affected some of the charity's baby supplies and living quarters where 14 clients and their children were staying.
"It was contained to the kitchen, but we had smoke damage throughout the house," Executive Director Christie Aaronson said. "We had to relocate all our residents, so they're all displaced until we get it all fixed back up."
The home is asking for donations of gently used living room furniture, including couches and a television, and baby toys. Items can be dropped off at AMH on Mon-Fri. 8 a.m.–5 p.m. For more information, call 864-7755 or visit www.thematernityhome.org.
