Starting tomorrow, area residents will have about five weeks to view a tribute to trains on film in downtown Grapevine.
The city's new Convention & Visitors Bureau will begin hosting its second art exhibit this week. Titled Cinematic Rails, Trains in the Movies, the exhibit is the building's first free display and features 36 photographs depicting trains from films such as True Grit, Tuskegee Airmen and Biloxi Blues.
The man behind the exhibit, James P. Bell, lives and works in Fort Smith, Arkansas. His work will be open to the public from 8 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday through Sept. 9. For more information on this display or any other activities in historic downtown Grapevine, call the Grapevine CVB at 817-410-3185.
