Grapevine Mills mall recently welcomed Joseph C. Szymaszek as the new general manager. Szymaszek will manage day-to-day operation such as budgeting, staff supervision, leasing and contract negotiating for the mall.

"We are excited to welcome the return of such a dynamic leader to our team," said Paul Fickinger, executive vice president of Property Management for Grapevine Mills mall, in a written statement. "His management experience, enthusiasm and leadership will be integral in our efforts to further brand Grapevine Mills as the leading outlet and value retail shopping destination in North Texas."

Szymaszek has more than 25 years of experience in shopping center management and retail. He has served as senior vice president of operations at Turnberry Associates, a regional vice president of The Mills, vice president and general manager of Sawgrass Mills in Florida and Opry Mills in Tennessee, and general manager of Gurnee Mills in Illinois. Szymaszek is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater.
