According to unofficial results from the Hays County Elections Office, voters have re-elected Will Conley to the Precinct 3 commissioner's seat.

Conley, the incumbent, faced Sam Brannon in the May 29 primary. With 100 percent of the county's 49 precincts reporting, Conley had received 2,604 votes, or 71.91 percent, to Brannon's 1,017.

"I'm very pleased about the results and honored that the citizens of Precinct 3 have given me another opportunity to represent them and represent our county," Conley said. "I think that this race was very important, and it really spoke not just about the Precinct 3 seat, but about what our Commissioners Court is doing.

"I think we sent a clear message tonight that our Commissioners Court is on the right track, doing the right things and have the citizens of Hays County's best interests at heart."

Brannon could not be reached for comment Tuesday night.
