Overview

Located just 3 miles north of downtown and 1 mile north of the The University of Texas, Hyde Park is one of Austin's most well-known neighborhoods. The neighborhood features an abundance of trees, houses with character, and access to restaurants, coffee shops and grocery shopping in Central Austin. The neighborhood's boundaries are Red River, Guadalupe, 51st and 38th streets.

Hyde Park was Austin's first suburb, making it more than 100 years old. Home styles represented include small bungalows, new modern architecture, big estate-style homes and newly remodeled homes.

The Hyde Park town center is located at 43rd and Duval streets. The area boasts a local bakery, grocery store, barbershop and restaurants, including Hyde Park Bar & Grill, Mother's Cafe and Garden, ASTI Trattoria and The Parlor.
