Preston and Sarah Stone plan to close Hill Country Bookstore on May 12 at 719 S. Main St. and reopen the bookstore in the fall across the Square at 718 Austin Ave. as Square Books.

In addition to books, Preston Stone said Square Books will sell beer and wine, and have a small cafe in the building. After renovations are complete, the bookstore will have space for events such as poetry readings or book signings, he said.

"We are also going to have magazines and newspapers, and more of a place for people to come in and just kind of relax with a cup of coffee or glass of wine," Stone said.
