Since Outrageous Gallery opened in May at The Domain, business has been steady, co-owner George Hakimeh said. The family-owned retailer features contemporary art—typically made out of colorful, hand-blown glass ranging in price from $20 up to about $8,500—and fine jewelry. All of the contributing artists are based in the United States, but Hakimeh said he is looking for more local talent. Two of the featured artists—Dian Malouf, a jeweler, and Flo Ulrich, a glass worker—live in Texas, but the rest are based elsewhere. The gallery also has a Scottsdale, Ariz., location.
