The Texas-Mediterranean, or Tex-Med, cuisine that Lisa Allen has been serving since September out of her bright pink food trailer might seem unusual, but the flavors pair well, she said.

Allen's menu includes a falafel pita wrap ($5), a cherry Dr Pepper–marinated lamb kebab served in a wrap ($9) or as a side ($5.50) and a bourbon mango pulled-pork sandwich ($6.50).

Allen first encountered a Tex-Med food truck in Marfa. It was so good that she decided to open her own. Lizzie's Lunchbox is parked Monday through Saturday at the Arbor Car Wash, 10410 Jollyville Road.

"People here are excited about having a food truck up here," she said.
