Owners Davey Gore and Scott Stolle have a long history in the local dining industry, having worked together at Gumbo's and Mama Roux, but French Quarter Grille, which opened in May, is the first time they have been owners—and business has been great so far, Stolle said.
The New Orleans–inspired menu features Cajun classics such as gumbo and ettouffee, as well as original fare, like the crawfish sausage cheesecake.
"The possibilities are endless because of all the influences—French, Creole, Italian—that is found in New Orleans food," Stolle said.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the restaurant offers half-off wine bottles that are $40 or more as well as daily food specials that change based on the freshest ingredients available.
