Lakeway Commons Farmers Market opened in October in the Lakeway Commons Shopping Center and continues to grow.

"We're definitely growing. We've been open for about seven weeks, and it's been really good so far," Market Manager Richie Romero said.

Romero moved to Lakeway from California and said he and his son missed the markets they had there. It also allows the full-time art director to get away from his computer.

The farmers market is a certified farmers market, which means it has a high percentage of food products. Ninety percent of its products are food-based from milk to tamales, and seven to eight of the vendors offer produce. The other 10 percent of products come from local artisans.
