Georgetown and Hutto residents who wish to recycle their Christmas trees after the holiday season have a couple of options.
In Georgetown, Texas Disposal System customers can call TDS at 930-1715 to schedule a curbside pickup on either Jan. 7 or Jan. 14, according to the city's website.
Georgetown residents can also drop off their old Christmas trees from Dec. 26 through Jan. 31 at the City of Georgetown Collection Station, located at 250 W.L. Walden Drive.
For Hutto citizens, Williamson County and Waste Management have announced the Williamson County Landfill will provide free Christmas tree recycling for county residents from Dec. 26 through Jan. 7, according to www.huttotx.gov.
The Williamson County Landfill and Recycling Center is located off of Hwy. 1660 at 600 Landfill Road.
Because the landfill also has a drop-off container for the Hutto Food Pantry, residents may bring their nonperishable food items and canned goods to the site and help stock the pantry, located at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hutto, 402 Church St.
