The replacement of power lines and poles will cause the temporary closure of I-35 on Feb. 24 from 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The closure will begin near Camping World at 3887 N. I-35, New Braunfels, to between FM 306 and Conrads Lane. During this time, the north and southbound lanes of the highway—as well as the access roads that run parallel to it—will be closed intermittently.

In a news release, New Braunfels Utilites said the closure is necessary for the safety of utility workers and travelers as high-voltage lines are being replaced. Advance warning signs and traffic-control devices will be in place, and drivers should expect delays as the work is completed.

The work will be completed by Greenstone Electrical Services, and work is expected to be completed in the timeframe noted, pending weather and other factors.
