UPDATE:
According to the New Braunfels Police Department, debris continues to be removed from the Comal River and it will remain closed through Saturday. A tweet from the department said the river is expected to reopen Sunday morning.

ORIGINAL STORY:
The Comal River through New Braunfels was closed Saturday morning to all recreation after several inches of rain fell in the area Friday night.
The New Braunfels Police Department posted on Twitter the levels are dropping and the river will be re-evaluated at 11 a.m.
A decision will be made at that time if the river can be used for recreation on Saturday.
The National Weather Service issued a statement that some river flooding will continue today in Central Texas. No rain is expected through the weekend, with another chance of storms and heavy rain coming Monday.
