Eric took the helm of the San Marcos-Buda-Kyle and New Braunfels editions of Community Impact as an editor in July 2021. Prior to CI, Eric contributed to multiple papers, including the New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung; a now-shuttered weekly covering the Bulverde area for the San Antonio Express-News; the Eugene Weekly in Eugene, Oregon; and other publications. He graduated from the University of Oregon.
