First Protestant Church of New Braunfels will celebrate its 175th anniversary on March 22. In 1845, the founders of New Braunfels held their first church service on Good Friday, March 21. In 1875, the church's current building made of cut limestone from the Landa Quarry was built at 172 W. Coll St., New Braunfels. 830-609-7729. www.firstprotestant.com
