Seekatz Opera House first began hosting traveling entertainment and local events in the early 1900s. It remained a popular venue and social space in the community until 1941, when a fire destroyed the building. It was rebuilt and served a variety of uses until 2004, when it underwent its first full renovation since its reconstruction and has since been used primarily for events. Now, it will be converted to an antique hall as the third location of the Traveling Gypsy Antique Mall. The retail space is expected to be open in early February at 265 W San Antonio St., New Braunfels. 830-379-1932. http://www.seekatzoperahouse.com www.travelinggypsy.org
